The word Deepotsav is a combination of ‘deep’ meaning lights or diyas and ‘utsav’ meaning a celebration or a festival. COEP Boat Club celebrates the Festival if light in a different manner. We have Deepotsav at Boat Club every year as way to celebrate diwali. All the area is enlightened with the 'पणती' as we call it in marathi.

This year grand Deepotsav took place at Boat Club with over 500 diyas being lit up as a part of Diwali. The Boat Club campus is lined with many diyas and rangolis drawn making the area look charming than ever!
